Featuring experiential learning programs focused on preparation for a career in the legal field, PPPA will help you build a strong foundation in understanding the judicial branch of US government and, if desired, become a strong candidate for professional school.

Pre-Law Degree Options

An interdisciplinary approach to law is available within both the philosophy and political science degree programs.

Political Science Pre-Law Track

Prepare for law school and a range of careers in law with a curriculum that reflects recommendations of the Association of American Law Schools.

Philosophy Pre-Law Track

Incorporates ethics, writing, and a foundation in political science.

In addition, it allows more opportunity for a broad study in supporting areas of the liberal arts.

Pre-Law Resource Center

Open to all WSU students, the Pre-Law Resource Center is a professional development center and library located in Bryan Hall on the WSU Pullman campus.

You’ll receive specialized advising for law school preparation as a complement to your degree-specific academic advising resources, as well as access to LSAT preparation materials, guest speakers, and internship opportunities.

The PLRC also offers peer mentorship and a community of like-minded individuals for students pursuing alternate careers in the legal profession.

Student Clubs and Activities

You’ll have opportunities to compete in the Ethics Bowl, test your metal with Mock Trial, connect with peers in the Pre-Law Society, and be a part of events like Coug Day at the Capital.
