PPPA Research Colloquium

A monthly gathering for faculty and graduate students to present their research in philosophy and political science—and to hear from scholars who are visiting WSU. The event provides an opportunity for scholars to get feedback on their work from a friendly audience and offers the school’s faculty and students the opportunity to learn something new.

Since its inception in the fall of 2003, the symposium has sponsored dozens of talks by faculty, graduate students, and guests from other universities.

Recent speakers have included Angie Bos (Boise State), who spoke about her research on children’s views of gender and political leaders, and Dana El-Kurd (University of Richmond), who presented research on the relationship between peace initiatives and authoritarian practices in the Middle East.

The colloquium typically meets three times each semester in the PPPA conference room.
