Welcome to new faculty

This fall, two new faculty members joined PPPA:

Olyvia Christley

Dr. Olyvia Christley, assistant professor, political science
She conducts research and teaches on the role gender attitudes, nationalism and xenophobia play in shaping public opinion and political behavior with regional focuses in Europe and the United States.

When not engrossed with political science activities at WSU, Dr. Christley can be found enjoying music either in person at concerts or through her ever-expanding vinyl collection, reading books, attending tennis matches or cycling.

Sherri Lynn Conklin

Dr. Sherri Lynn Conklin, assistant professor, philosophy
She conducts research and teaches on AI and moral responsibility, with past emphasis on the metaphysics of moral justification. She has jumped in passionately to help advise the Ethics Bowl team.

When not teaching, holding philosophical conversations, or advising ethics bowl, Dr. Conklin can be found enjoying role play and big box board games, gardening, hiking or traveling with her family.
